GROUP DISCUSSION
A Group Discussion(GD) is a simulated exercise, where you cannot suddenly put up a show as the evaluators see through you easily.
Here's how the GD works :
Normally groups of 8-10 candidates are formed and are given a specific situation to analyze and discuss within a given time limit.
The group may be given a topic to discuss or a case study and asked to come out with a solution to the problem.
One should remember while GD,
You should try to get noticed by the panel by trying to make meaningful contribution to the discussion.
You must ensure that group hears you and so the evaluator.
And most importantly you have to make chances. Many GD participants often complain that they didn't get the chance to speak. There's nothing more unacceptable than to keeping one's mouth shut and not trying to contribute to the discussion.
You should try to build the consensus among the group members as it shows you leadership traits.
Don't just speak once and shut one's mouth for the whole GD. Try to get involve yourself in the discussion and express your points that you have in mind.
